I have been singing since I was very young.
I wrote my first song in completion when I was 14 yrs old.
I performed for the first time for an audience when I was 8....
I sang "Oh Holy Night" in a Christmas program at church.

Since that time I have performed for anything from my own
graduation, to weddings, funerals, variety shows,
country music showcases, oprys and street fairs.
I thrive on being able to get up and entertain an audience.
I have a passion for singing, it was and always will be my first love.

Currently I am negotiating with Curb records.
A meeting at the first of April is really heading in a very positive direction
. I am getting ready to go back in the studio and record a full
10 to 12 song CD of which will be sent to Curb for review.

My next performance is scheduled for May 22
at the Cross Timbers Country Opry Theatre in Stephenville TX.
..you can find me at any given time in the
Sweet Southern Sounds room .
There is anyone from other artists to producers to promoters...
.pretty much anyone in the business stops in. Would love to talk to you!!!

I was born June 4, 1972 in Hendersonville, N.C.
I started out with my parents singing gospel.
Now I'm hoping to get a recording deal.
I joined the Navy in 1991 and was discharged in 1995.
Then I went on the road doing what I love best. Singing!!!
I traveled with groups like The Melodiaires,
The Hayworth's and The McKeithens, just to name a few.
I just recently started writing my own songs. I write from real life experiences.
My goal is to pursue my dream of becoming a recording artist
and securing a major record deal.
If I am fortunate to have this dream come true,
I want to give back to those less fortunate than I,
and help in whatever way I can.

Fifteen-year-old Shonda Sue recently added two live albums to her
collection of three studio albums. The two live albums - "Christmas
with Shonda Sue" and "Shonda Sue LIVE! 2002 Favorites" precede her
next studio project, a contemporary gospel album to be released in 2003.
Shonda Sue of Indianapolis recorded her first country album, "I Love to Sing,"
when she was 8 and followed that at age 10 with her first gospel album,
"Sweet, Sweet Land."
The highlight of her recording career so far was the 2001 release
of her first Nashville project, "Girl Thang," when she was 13. Nearly a year
after its release, a single, "Live While I Can," made its debut in Europe and
Australia, followed by other selections from the album.

Shonda Sue has the knack for singing both country and gospel equally well,
and who knows where the future might lead for her.

"It's in God's hands," the teenage recording artist says. "He gave me the
talent for singing, and He will guide me to use it to the best of my ability."

Her fourth studio album, yet to be titled, will - like the first three -
be recorded on independent labels. Her family has invested the time,
energy and money into the projects in order to get Shonda Sue's name,
face and voice out to the listening public rather than wait around for
her to "maybe, some day, be discovered." Financial sponsors are being
sought for the fourth album and information about sponsorship, booking
